What I am most proud of personally in my participation in the development of the new AlpineF#1Status is that I had the chance to play the perfectionist and work without compromising. I developed ION BUS, which is the most advanced bus communication system, one that even promises forward compatible to next-generation devices, and which greatly increases systemization. Parts were employed in tandem with thorough test listening—with our own ears, of course—and meticulously selected one by one. The real aim of our DVD Audio Link is to make it possible for the first time to listen to DVD-Audio in a car AV system with top specifications (192kHz/24bit) and the best digital components.
We also thought that the exterior beauty and the joy of possession are in themselves functions and features essential to the system, so our craftsmen applied a real metal face plate with high-tech hair-line touches. As a finished product, this component is something of which I am completely proud.
As I said at the beginning, I honestly felt somewhat apologetic since the first generation CD head unit was made not for DVD multi-channel playback. However, this DVI-9990 wastes nothing; you can choose the DAI-C990 converter unit and have a basic two-channel system, or go with the PXI-H990 Multimedia Manager and have multi-channel sound—and get the best in-car sound possible, whether you want stereo or surround multi-channel. I am truly proud of the new AlpineF#1Status system, which includes the DVI-9990, a product we as mobile media specialists poured our hearts into and made into a superior component by thorough listening and viewing tests. My sincere hope as a designer is that customers will fully enjoy the supreme sound of this system. |
