Sound System Engineering 04/02
Hitoshi Saito "Tuning an audio system is like bringing together the members of anorchestra, getting the sound balance right, and making sure they work together."
The ears of the artisan or master craftsman ultimately determines the true worth and quality of the instrument.
In medieval Europe before the time of J.S. Bach, craftsmen were bound in a strict hierarchical system of masters and apprentices. The faithful apprentice could rise in the hierarchy through mastery of the “technologies” of the discipline and through the severe training of the master. We are sound masters, but we also feel a strong duty as apprentices in this age of digital audio to continually strive to create the most expressive, natural, authentic sound possible, not merely keeping on top of the technology but actively trying every day to make our ears more attuned to the subtle, musical nuances in the sound.

The most important point in developing flagship products such as AlpineF#1Status is to retain a pure passion for music and maintain an inquiring, challenging spirit—and use both our objectivity and subjective senses to ensure that the sound fully contains all the expressive, emotional essence of the original, and lives up to the AlpineF#1Status name. We are proud of that name, and we truly believe this system to have the absolute best in-car sound possible.
